Diagram Studio sends a random app-install identifier and bounded product interaction events so we can measure whether core workflows work and improve the customer experience. Events can include app version, platform, screen identifier, foreground-active seconds, diagram format, and whether a create, import, remix, version restore, or export workflow completed. The analytics service does not receive diagram source, prompts, file names, file paths, rendered output, account identity, advertising identifiers, or precise device identity.
The install identifier and product interaction data are used only for product analytics. They are not sold, shared with data brokers, combined with third-party data, or used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Diagram files, lifecycle metadata, versions and recoverable Trash remain in the local folder you select. Diagram Studio does not upload that library to a developer-operated service.
If you configure or use a remote PlantUML renderer or the online draw.io editor, the content needed for that requested operation is sent directly to that service. Those services have their own privacy practices. Diagram Studio does not receive that content. Local and bundled render paths are used where supported.
The optional companion binds its REST API to the local computer by default, protects operational routes with a bearer token and operates on the selected local library. You control whether it is installed or running.
